THE AUDIENCE: THE ART OF PERCEIVING

We always linger on talking about the artist.

Of the 'active' part.

But what about the viewer?

Are we really sure that he is the so-called passive part?

The fact that the audience is as actively involved as the actors is suggestive of a smart society that is not flattened by the spoon-fed imposed by the system.

In the present age, raising awareness is almost a social mission, which all artists should carry out.

(Except that in some cases they are the first ones to slumber).

The passivity of the audience excludes the opportunity for real experiences.

I instead stage and put into music, images and dreams as a metaphor for the reality of which, at that moment, the spectator is a part.

THE AUDIENCE.

It plays a basic role.

He is co-responsible for the meaning of the play and of the interpretation coming out of it.

Each time different, because both we actors and the audience are different every night and a new synergy is established with each performance.

There must be a link between artist and viewer, who is not simply the witness of a performance.

He watches, listens and perceives.

Without knowing it, he is part of a scenography.

You can involve him in the creative and performative process, in a unobtrusive way.

Not necessarily by letting him interact with the performance.

But by making him conscious about where he is and about the perception he is experiencing in that moment.

To break out of the mold of usual reality.

I offer the spectator a more side view of this reality, posing implied questions, which will demand answers.

Because the spectator who simply identifies with the characters is likely to be acritical.

So not a passive attendance but an active involvement.

After all, it is an audience not a mosaic.
